Dec. 16 Deadline for Construction Jobsites’ Holiday Lights Competition

Construction Jobsites’ Holiday

It’s the time of year when decorating construction jobsites and construction business offices in the Americas is what we do. It’s an annual morale booster like none other. From small trees to elaborate architectural lighting displays, on-the-job construction projects can share the excitement of our winter holidays. Share your team’s creativity by entering Construction Dive’s Holiday Lights online competition.

Every year during the winter holidays, Indiana residents traveled to what is now I-37 and 126th Street in Fishers. The biggest, best, and most vibrant light display was there at Reynolds Farm Equipment. The company’s seven acres were transformed into illuminated rolling tractors, animals boarding Noah’s Ark, and later, a 57-foot “abominable” snowman.

The light display that has its roots in equipment for construction jobsites and farm operations has now relocated to Conner Prairie, a historical site in Hamilton County, Indiana.

Novak Construction’s celebration in lights never ends! The Chicago company’s roof displays celebrate and share awareness:

  • Christmas, New Year’s, and holy days (holidays)
  • Easter
  • Fourth of July
  • Halloween
  • Hope/suicide prevention
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • Pancreatic Cancer Awareness
  • ROSIE – Raising Awareness 4 Pediatric Cancer, Pediatric Brain Cancer/Research and Neurofibromatosis
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Valentine’s Day

Construction Dive wants to see the lights that you’ve put up around your jobsite, on buildings, cranes, toolboxes, sheds. and everywhere in between,” says journalist and editor Matthew Thibault.

Last year’s notable construction project-inspired light displays were designed by:

  • Holland Construction, San Diego
  • Leeward Construction, Pennsylvania
  • Lendlease, Chicago
  • PCL Construction, Vancouver, British Columbia

This year’s recognition could include you!
